Description

The AIDS Bicycle Challenge is a non-competitive charity ride through vibrant downtown Kansas City, along the beautiful Missouri River and beyond to benefit those living with HIV/AIDS in Kansas City. ABC features routes for all ages and skill levels, including approximate 50, 30, 10 and 2 mile routes. We welcome individuals and families to come make a difference for those living with HIV/AIDS while experiencing a thrilling tour of downtown Kansas City and the scenic Muddy MO!

Fees

The registration fee for all routes is $25 if registered by September 11 and $30 if registering on event day. (Kids 8 and under are free) To receive an ABC Tech Shirt, those paying $25 or $30 need to raise an additional $50 in donations. You may pay a registration fee of $50 to waive the fundraising requirement and receive an ABC Tech Shirt.

How to Register and Fundraise

Step One

Register online as a Team or as an Individual at www.firstgiving.com/abckc Team Captains receive a special cycling gift so please consider creating an ABC Team!

Step Two

Fundraise

Online: Create your own free personal fundraising page at www.firstgiving.com/abckc. Then email friends, family & coworkers asking them to visit your webpage and make a donation. It's fun, simple and effective. And for Team Captains, please be sure to encourage your Team Members to do the same!

Offline: Download a pledge form at Your text to link here.... Or call 816-931-0959 and leave your name and address. We will be happy to mail a pledge form to you.

Start Time

Registration begins at 7:00 am / 50 Mile Route begins at 7:30 am / 30 Mile Route begins at 8:30 am / 10 and 2 Mile Routes begins at 9:30 am

Start/Finish

All rides will begin and end in the Richard L. Berkley Riverfront Park in Downtown Kansas City, Missouri. Free parking is available on the streets outside of the park and in the Riverfront Park Lot which is accessed from 3rd Street. For more detailed directions, call (816) 931-0959.

Tips

There will be support and gear (SAG) stations along the route. In addition, we ask that you please ride safely as we will be riding on streets with traffic.

Extras

Participants who raise a minimum of $50 in donations will receive an AIDS Bicycle Challenge Tech Shirt. There is also a number of other fundraising incentive prizes! We will also enjoy a Post Ride Celebration after the ride in Riverfront Park! Participants will enjoy great food, beer and other beverages as we celebrate another successful AIDS Bicycle Challenge!
